84 mini cupcakes ... DONE

I had the pleasure of making mini cupcakes for an office meeting today.  Everyone is raving about them.  I did 4 types.  Vanilla with fudge, Chocolate with fudge, Vanilla and Chocolate.  They turned out great.  DELICIOUS too, if I say so myself.

Pineapple Upside Down Treats - YUMMY!

So I found a quick and easy recipe for Pineapple Upside Down Cakes... OMG they turned out SOOOOOOO good!  I can't say how yummy they are.  Fluffy and sweet and the pineapple is yummy.  It literally took me about 10 minutes to throw them together and 25 minutes to bake, so in about 35 minutes I had a hot yummy delicious dessert!

A little baking...

Sometimes I find a recipe that sounds delicious, like Black Bottom Apple Cupcakes.  Sounds good right?  Well I made the recipe and it was ... eh... not bad, not great, which for me is not good enough.  So... I'm contemplating.  The idea of the cupcakes sounds so good ... do I re-do the recipe and find what works to make them great or do I move on to the next recipe?  I just don't know yet.

So the page got some changes.  Now, I need business.  I'm thinking of posting a craigslist ad.  Any thoughts?

I've just created this new logo. It's my first time trying to create something like this, so please let me know what you think!

WE DID IT!

120 mini desserts were delivered on time!  Lemon Bars, Whoopie Pies, Mini Cupcakes!  They loved all of them.  I received many compliments and even today at work people are coming up and raving about the desserts.  I also received a bonus on top of the payment... a Starbuck's gift card! :)  All in all it was a good turn out and I'm happy I got to do it.  Can't wait for the next project!

Half way there

It's 11:30 and I'm exhausted.  I'm about half way through the 120 mini desserts.  Tomorrow should be the easy part.  I'll be nice and refreshed after a good night's sleep.  I think if I get up around 9 that will be good.  The whoopie pie cookie part turned out really good, minus the fact that they spread a bit more than expected.  Good to know for future.  I'll use 1/2 the batter for each one and have more smaller ones.  We had some extra cake batter so I made a few cupcakes.  They were delicious (if I do say so myself and normally I don't eat much of what I make).  Can't wait to deliver them... people were excited to hear that I would be providing desserts.

New Beginnings

I'm going to begin blogging as often as I can about my adventures in the Sassy Sweets business.  I've been tinkering around with starting my business of desserts for some time.  I've done things here and there, however, I've never really buckled down and marketed my goods.  Well nows the time.  The holidays are fast approaching and I think it is time.  I've had 3 recent requests for desserts for parties and I think it's time I took this gift and made something of it.  You and everyone you know can eat cake!  and pies and brownies and lemon bars and whooopie pies and so much more.  You know you want to do it... so go ahead, place an order, small or huge, doesn't matter. :)
